Abstract: Artificial intelligence and transhumanism are broad and important topics that explore the ethical, social, and legal implications of developing and using AI systems. AI is a major theme in the context of movies, beginning with Metropolis (1927), a blockbuster that inspired cinephiles to imagine the terrain of futurism. Thus, keeping the relevance and pertinence of the field of AI in movies in mind, this paper will delve deep into the myriad ethical representations of AI in select movies with reference to emotional AI; the term will be discussed in the paper in a detailed manner.

Artificial intelligence and climate change are two of the most pressing and complex issues of our time, and they have been explored in various ways in movies. For the present study, the paper will look at the varied facets of AI and transhumanism in a futuristic post-climate change society in select movies. The study examines two select movies, WALL-E (2008) and Mad Max: Fury Road (2015). An in-depth analysis of the relationship between humans and machines in the futuristic post-climate change society will be conducted through the present study in tandem with the selected movies.
