Peer Review Policy
Literariness upholds a rigorous double-blind peer review system, ensuring that the identities of both authors and reviewers remain undisclosed to one another throughout the evaluation process. This practice safeguards impartiality and maintains fairness in scholarly assessment. Peer review serves as an essential mechanism for validating research, establishing standards of quality, and fostering meaningful engagement within the academic community. While the process has its limitations, it remains the most widely recognized and trusted method of evaluating academic work.
Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the journal undergo double-blind peer review. The initial review is typically completed within one to three weeks from the date of submission.
Authors are strongly advised not to submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously and should await the outcome of the review before considering submission elsewhere.
The review process is designed to ensure timely and transparent evaluation, with final publication decisions resting with the Editors-in-Chief.
Key Features
- Scope of Submission: Manuscripts falling outside the thematic or disciplinary scope of the journal will not proceed to review.
- Expert Evaluation: Each manuscript is reviewed by three to four referees recommended by the Editorial Board, including at least one reviewer based in India and two or more from international institutions. Additional expert opinions may be solicited when necessary.
- Decision-Making: Editorial decisions are based on reviewers’ reports. Authors are promptly informed of the outcome, whether acceptance, revision, or rejection.
- Confidentiality: All manuscripts and reviewer reports are treated as strictly confidential throughout the process.
- Integrity Check: Every submission is screened using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts identified with significant overlap are rejected at the initial stage.
