Literariness is an Open Access journal, and all published articles are freely available online immediately upon publication. To sustain operations and maintain high editorial and production standards, we charge a nominal Article Processing Charge (APC). This fee may be borne by the author, their institution, employer, or funding agency.
What the APC Covers
The APC supports the full publishing process, including:
- Administrative and editorial management
- Rigorous peer review
- Plagiarism checker software
- Copyediting, production, and online hosting
- Website maintenance, security, and long-term archiving
- Indexing and customer services
APC Structure
- Permanent Faculty Members: ₹1500
- Research Scholars, Guest Faculty, and Students: ₹1000
- Foreign Authors: USD 40
Benefits include online publication, a hard copy of the article, and electronic and printed certificates for all contributors.
The APC is applied per article, not per author. No additional APC is required for co-authors.
Additionally, every article published in the journal is also featured on Literariness.org, an acclaimed academic platform with over 25 million views, significantly expanding the reach of your work.
Waivers and Discounts
We recognize that some authors, especially those from low- and middle-income countries, may face financial challenges in covering publication costs. To support equitable access to publishing, we offer APC waivers or discounts of up to 25% for eligible applicants. If you would like to be considered, please let us know your circumstances.
How to Pay Your APC
Upon acceptance, authors will receive an invoice detailing the applicable APC and payment instructions. We sincerely appreciate your contribution to open access publishing and your role in advancing global research.
Important Policy Notes
No charges are levied at the submission stage. The APC is payable only after a manuscript has successfully passed peer review and is accepted for publication.
