Ethical Guidelines of Literariness Journal

The ethical policies of Literariness Journal are based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and comply with the standards of the International Committee of Journal Editors.

Our commitment is to ensure transparency, fairness, and integrity in every stage of publishing, from submission to dissemination.

Publisher Responsibilities

  • Editorial decisions must be independent, professional, and free from commercial influence.

  • The publisher monitors ethical compliance among Editors, Editorial Board Members, Reviewers, Authors, and Readers.

  • The publisher will issue corrections, clarifications, or retractions whenever required to preserve the integrity of the academic record.

Editorial Responsibilities

  • Editors have full authority to accept or reject manuscripts.

  • Manuscript confidentiality must be maintained until publication.

  • Reviewer anonymity must be preserved in the double-blind review process.

  • Editors must avoid conflicts of interest and disclose them if they arise.

  • Plagiarism, fraudulent data, or ethical breaches will be investigated, and corrections, retractions, or apologies published as needed.

  • Editors must not share content with anyone beyond the corresponding author, reviewers, and necessary staff.

Reviewers’ Responsibilities

  • Reviewers must maintain confidentiality at all times.

  • Reviews should be delivered promptly and objectively.

  • Feedback should be constructive, submitted through official review forms and comments.

  • Reviewers must declare conflicts of interest immediately.

  • Reviews must be based on scholarly judgment, free from bias.

Authorship and Authors’ Responsibilities

Authorship Criteria

To qualify as an author, contributors must meet all three conditions:

  1. Conception/design, data collection, or data analysis/interpretation.

  2. Drafting or critically revising the article.

  3. Final approval of the version for publication, with responsibility for content.

Authors’ Responsibilities

  • Articles must follow the journal’s format and ethical writing principles.

  • All co-authors must approve the submission and sign a commitment form.

  • Affiliations, acknowledgments, and conflicts of interest must be clearly stated.

  • Authors must cite sources accurately and avoid plagiarism.

  • Authors are encouraged to serve as reviewers for the journal.

  • Research sponsorship (if any) must be disclosed.

  • Errors identified post-publication must be reported immediately.

  • Similarity-check software will be used on all submissions.

Changes in Authorship

After acceptance, no new authors or changes in authorship order are allowed unless all authors submit a signed letter of agreement.

Principles of Transparency

  • Study Design & Ethics: Research must be justified, well-designed, and ethically approved.

  • Data Analysis: Misrepresentation or manipulation of data constitutes misconduct.

  • Data Availability: A clear statement must explain how supporting data can be accessed.

  • Human & Animal Studies: Informed consent and ethics approval are mandatory.

  • Conflicts of Interest: Must be disclosed (personal, financial, political, or academic).

Peer Review

Literariness Journal uses a double-blind review process. Both author and reviewer identities remain confidential.

  • At least two reviewers must provide negative feedback for rejection.

  • Authors may request exclusion of specific reviewers due to conflicts of interest.

  • Review policies are detailed on the journal’s website.

Publishing Schedule

Literariness Journal publishes four issues annually. All content remains permanently available on the journal’s website.

Privacy and Confidentiality

  • All manuscripts are reviewed with strict confidentiality.

  • Editors and reviewers must not disclose or misuse manuscript content.

  • Confidentiality may only be breached in cases of suspected misconduct.

  • Rejected manuscripts and reviewer comments remain private..

Copyright and Licensing

  • Articles are published under CC BY-NC 4.0.

  • Authors retain copyright and may reuse their work, provided proper attribution is given.

  • Research is freely accessible to promote knowledge exchange.

Advertising Policy

Literariness Journal does not host advertising.

Corrections and Retractions

  • Corrections: Published through Erratum notices linked to the original article.

  • Retractions: Published when research integrity is severely compromised, following COPE guidelines.

Archiving and Self-Archiving

  • Long-term preservation is guaranteed via digital archiving.

  • Self-archiving: Authors may share abstracts and citation details (with DOI link) anywhere, anytime, for non-commercial use.

Misconduct and Ethical Violations

  • Fabrication/Falsification: Inventing or altering data is misconduct.

  • Duplicate/Redundant Publication: Not permitted without cross-referencing.

  • Citation Manipulation: Excessive or irrelevant citations are unethical.

  • Simultaneous Submission: Not allowed.

  • Plagiarism: Strictly prohibited; all submissions undergo plagiarism checks.

Allegations of misconduct are investigated by the Editor-in-Chief and the Publication Committee. Sanctions may include rejection, bans on future submissions, or retraction of published work.

Appeals and Complaints

Appeals are considered only once per article and require strong evidence or new information. Final decisions rest with the Editorial Board.

COPE Guidelines

Literariness Journal follows the COPE guidelines and flowcharts for addressing ethical issues in publishing.

Editors are responsible for ensuring integrity, fairness, and accountability in the publication process.
